SAP has confirmed its commitment to BusinessObjects through at least 2031. Here is the complete timeline to plan your upgrades with confidence.
These components will no longer be included in BI 2025. If you still use them, you need to plan the migration to SAP or third-party alternatives.

Warning — UNV universes will no longer be supported after BO 4.3. UNV → UNX conversion can be a major undertaking. Decinova supports you through this migration with automated tools and a proven methodology.
Migration SAP BO
When a company decides to migrate its data warehouse from SQL Server to Snowflake, all SAP BO universes must be rewritten: SQL syntax, functions, joins — everything that is specific to the source database needs to be adapted.
This manual conversion work can take months for an estate of several hundred universes. At Decinova, we have developed a proprietary converter that automates the bulk of this work.
A months-long project reduced to a few days. Our converter analyses each universe, identifies incompatible SQL functions, and generates the Snowflake-compatible version. Everything is tested and validated before going to production.
The same tool can also be used during BO version upgrades, to automate part of the UNV → UNX conversion when universes are complex enough to require it.
