Every Decinova engagement starts with an estate audit. Not a “let’s look at your servers for 3 days” kind of audit. An automated audit powered by reverse-engineering of your source code.

Our proprietary scanner parses DTSX files (SSIS packages), SAP BO universe definitions (.unv and .unx), Crystal Reports, and SSRS projects directly.

This is not manual documentation. It’s static code analysis applied to BI — the same approach that code quality tools use in software engineering, adapted to the BI estate.

Application maintenance

Maintenance & support: continuity above all

Decinova’s application maintenance is not a generic helpdesk. Each client is assigned a dedicated senior consultant who knows the estate inside out and can intervene within guaranteed SLA timeframes.

Maintenance comes in three complementary tiers. Corrective maintenance handles production incidents — a report that won’t render, a data flow that fails overnight, an incorrect KPI. Adaptive maintenance covers environment changes — server migrations, version upgrades, new data source connections. Preventive maintenance anticipates problems before they occur — performance monitoring, log analysis, and proactive component upgrades.

Every intervention is tracked, every change versioned, every deployment validated in a staging environment before going to production. This is industrial-grade BI operations — not ad hoc firefighting.

Migration & modernisation

Convert, not rewrite by hand

Migrating a legacy BI estate to the cloud is the project everyone postpones — because estimates are always too long, too expensive, and too risky. Decinova changes this equation with proprietary converters.

The principle is simple. Rather than having a team of 5 consultants manually rewrite 500 SSIS packages over 6 months, our converter parses each package, analyses the logic, and generates the DBT/Snowflake equivalent automatically. 70-90% of the work is done by the tool. Our engineers focus on the remaining 10-30%: the complex edge cases, custom business rules, and validation.

The same logic applies to SAP BO universes. The UNV/UNX converter analyses the semantic layer, identifies joins, filters, calculated objects, and generates the Snowflake-compatible equivalent. The result is a clean, documented, tested migration — delivered in weeks, not months.

When a client needs to reinforce their data team, Decinova provides consultants on secondment or staff augmentation. The difference from a traditional staffing agency: every consultant we propose has been technically vetted by our architects and specialises in the technologies we cover.

Every proposed consultant has a minimum of 8 years’ experience on the relevant technology. Their CV is accompanied by a technical interview conducted by our team leads. If the client is not satisfied, we replace the consultant within 5 business days.
