Wondering what state your SSIS or SAP BusinessObjects estate is really in? You have a feeling there’s technical debt but can’t quantify it? You’re preparing a migration and need reliable data to budget it? That’s exactly what the free audit is for.
The Decinova free audit answers these three questions within 48 hours.
What the audit contains
Comprehensive mapping of your estate. The scanner analyses the source code of your SSIS packages (.dtsx) or SAP BO universes (.unv/.unx) through reverse-engineering. You receive the complete list of components, their dependencies, data flows, and connections.
Technical debt score. A score from 0 to 100, calculated on 12 measurable criteria (cyclomatic complexity, log coverage, hard-coded connections, obsolete components, duplicated code…). The score is objective, reproducible, and comparable over time.
Prioritised action plan. Based on the score and mapping, the report proposes 3 investment scenarios (targeted remediation, partial migration, full migration) with an effort and budget estimate for each.
What the audit does not require
No access to your business data. The scanner analyses code, not data. It needs no connection to your production databases. You send us the definition files (.dtsx for SSIS, universe exports for SAP BO) and we process them in our environment.
No contractual commitment. The audit is free and with no obligation. You receive the report and do what you want with it. If the results convince you, we’ll discuss next steps. If not, you keep the report — no strings attached.
No installation on your side. The scanner runs in our environment. No agent to install, no port to open, no VPN to configure.
The practical process
Day 0: 30-minute scoping call. You describe your environment, we verify the scope is suitable for an automated audit.
Day 0-1: You send us the files. For SSIS, this means exporting your .dtsx packages (from the SSISDB catalogue or file system). For SAP BO, it means exporting universe definition files via Information Design Tool.
Day 1-2: The scanner analyses your files. A senior consultant interprets the results, produces the technical debt score, and writes the report with recommendations.
Day 3: 45-minute video call presentation. We walk you through the mapping, the score, the risk zones, and the action scenarios. The report is delivered as a PDF.
Why it's free
The answer is commercially honest: the audit is our best sales tool. When a CIO sees the map of their own estate for the first time — with the hidden dependencies, the dead code, and the packages that nobody knew were critical — the conversation changes.
We’ve done the maths: a free audit costs about 2 days of work. The majority of CIOs who receive the report then engage a mission (maintenance, migration, or both). The investment pays for itself.
